ARTICLE 1
CORPORATE AUTHORITY--FORM OF GOVERNMENT

Section 2-1-1. General Powers. The City of Northglenn shall have all the powers of local self government and home rule and all power possible under the Constitution and the laws of the State of Colorado. The City shall and may exercise all municipal powers, functions, rights and privileges of every nature whatsoever. The enumeration of the particular powers in this ordinance and in the Charter of The City of Northglenn shall not be deemed to be exclusive of others.

Section 2-1-2. Form of Government. The municipal government shall be known as council-manager government.

Section 2-1-3. Governing Body. The corporate authority of the City of Northglenn is vested in an elective council of eight (8) council members, two (2) of whom shall be elected from each of four wards in the City, and a Mayor elected at large from the entire City.

Section 2-1-4. Elected Officers. The elected officers of the City of Northglenn shall consist of the Mayor and Councilmen.

Section 2-1-5. Corporate Seal. The corporate seal of the City of Northglenn shall be an impression consistent with the City logo with the "City of Northglenn, Colorado" around the outside perimeter.
